Mergers, Sales, & Deactivations

Contributors who would like to have their Filer ID deactivated must complete and return the appropriate Filer ID Deactivation Request to USAC with all supporting documentation. There are five reasons a Filer ID might need to be deactivated; click on the appropriate link to get the correct deactivation form:

In addition, contributors must update their information in the FCC CORES Database. Visit the database and click on "Update Your Registration Information." It could take up to 60 days from the date on which we receive all of the required documentation for the deactivation to be reflected on your USAC invoice. Please be sure to include all supporting documentation with your deactivation form.

It can also take up to 60 days from the date on which we receive all of the required documentation for the deactivation information to be sent to the National Exchange Carrier Association (NECA). Deactivated Filer ID information goes to NECA once a month. If your Filer ID is deactivated the day after the information goes to NECA, it will take an additional month before it is reflected in NECA invoices.
