Problems with Lifeline?

Step 1

For information on how to apply for Lifeline Program-supported service, click here.

If you have problems applying, we suggest you call your telecommunications company directly, as USAC does not have regulatory authority over them.

Step 2

If your telecommunications company does not give you the assistance you need, please contact your state public utility commission, which has jurisdiction over them.

Step 3

If you have contacted your telecommunications company and state public utility commission and continue to have problems, please email us and we will try to help you.

Report Fraud

Lifeline Program-supported service is available for one telephone line per eligible household. If you have information about a household receiving more than one discounted telephone service, please call the FCC Lifeline Fraud Tip Line at (855) 455-8477 or via email.
